Chris is the director and founder of the
North American Ski Training Center
(NASTC).
He is a 22-year
ski teaching professional with the following accreditations: PSIA National Demo
Team member 2000-2004. A level IV ski instructor/trainer/clinician (highest
level), Education VP for PSIA-W 1998-2000, PSIA-W Board of Directors since
1995.
Chris grew up
in western MA and moved to Tahoe at age 24. Has been a ski school trainer at
Squaw Valley, Mt. Rose, and Heavenly. Attented prestigious Austrian
Bundessporteim in 1989 (chosen by Austrian government). Started NASTC in 1994
at Sugar Bowl, Portillo, Chile, and Blackcomb, B.C.expanding to Kirkwood,
Squaw, Grand Targhee, Big Sky, and France.
Chris is also
part owner and member guide of Sierra Mountain Guides, Inc. He has guided rock
climbing, mountaineering, and backcountry skiing throughout the Sierra Nevada,
New England, Wyoming, Chile, Nepal, and Canada. A professional member of the
American Mountain Guides Association
